To celebrate the release of the sequel to Blade Runner some 35 years after the initial release of the first movie in 1982; we've been inspired to put together a list of some of the greatest movie posters of all time. Blade Runner itself has been credited with establishing, if not creating, the Neo-Noir / Cyberpunk cinematic genre because of it's visionary art direction and immersive cinematography which has defined science fiction movie-making ever since. But there have been many superb films across a plethora of cinematic categories that have captured our imaginations and make us head down to the googleplex and eat our own weight in popcorn, here are a few of our favourites...

The Forbidden Planet - 1958
Vertigo - 1958
Rosemary's Baby - 1968

A Clockwork Orange - 1971

Straw Dogs - 1971

Chinatown - 1974

Taxi Driver - 1976

Apocalypse Now - 1979
