2. Nike - FIFA World Cup : 'Just Write It' 

When the client is Nike and they are advertising the largest sporting event on the planet, I guess the production budget can get a little out-of-hand! This mini-movie of an ad has cameos from Ronaldo, Roger Federer, Kobe Bryant, Wayne Rooney, Franck Ribéry, Didier Drogba and ever Homer Simpson!

 

3. PepsiCo - H20h! : 'Braids'

And at the other end of the production budget scale, this funny little ad from Argentina is a masterclass in just how to ‘meet the parents’. Gentlemen, take note!

 

4.  Volkswagen – Passat Super Bowl : 'Darth Vader'

Sometimes the best ideas are the most simple. Not a single word is uttered, all you can hear is the excellent John Williams' Star Wars score combined with some amazing comic acting from the little fella in the helmet.

 

5. Sainsbury’s - British Royal Legion : 'Christmas 1914'

The battle to be the most popular Christmas TV ad has become a bit of a winter tradition in its own right. And for me, the all time champion has to be this spot by Sainsbury’s commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Day armistice between the British and Germans during WW1. It's an absolute classic.
