A little over a year ago we made the decision that we wanted to work as closely as we can with the leaders in tech and innovation, which for us meant Google and Facebook as they give us access to so many amazing marketing tools, one of the main ones being Google AdWords.

To work in perfect harmony with Google there are a series of milestones that need to be achieved over a 12 month period such as how long your AdWords accounts have been running, how much we spend with Google on a quarterly basis, and most importantly how efficiently we get AdWords to perform for our clients. After that year, Google send an email if you’ve qualified as a certified agency that can proudly sport the Google Partner badge. Well you can probably guess where I’m going with this… yes, we passed with flying colours – but seriously, who cares?

‘So you’re a Google Partner, Cool. What does that mean for your clients?’

Well I was talking to a neighbour of mine over the weekend and one thing he asked me was ‘So you’re a Google Partner, cool. What does that mean for your clients?’. It was at that point I realised we were so focused on becoming a Google Partner, we really hadn’t thought about the benefits to the businesses that we work with, so to answer the questions that we hadn’t asked; what does it mean for you?

·      Google Partner status means we have current Google AdWords certifications to efficiently manage your account.

·      We must be proficient in all features of AdWords and use them in a way that is most profitable to the businesses we work with.

·      We have access to Google’s beta features meaning that after Google has developed a new feature, we can test and use this feature up to a year or more before it is available to your competition.

·      To maintain our Google Partner status, we must take certification exams in AdWords Fundamentals, Search, Display, Shopping, Video, and Mobile Advertising.

There is much more that we’re happy to discuss so if you’re looking to talk to someone about digital marketing, and more specifically Google AdWords then feel free to get in touch.
